Data protection

Thank you for your interest in our online presence. The protection of your personal data is particularly important to us. Below, we would like to inform you in detail about how we deal with these. Of course, all legal provisions, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and other data protection regulations are observed. To use our online offer, it is generally not necessary to provide personal data. The only data stored are access data without personal reference, i.e. name of your Internet service provider, the page from which you are visiting us, the names of files requested and the date they were accessed. This data is evaluated exclusively to improve our offer and does not allow any personal conclusions to be drawn about you. Personal data, on the other hand, is only collected if you provide it voluntarily. This can be done, for example, when registering for our newsletter. If you commission us to provide a service, your personal data will only be used to the extent necessary for the provision of the service or the execution of the contract without your separate consent. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

Right to information

According to the regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act, you have the right to receive information free of charge about data stored about you and, if necessary, the right to correct, block or delete this data.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Some data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke your given consent at any time. An informal email notification is sufficient for the revocation. The data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority

As a affected person in the event of a breach of data protection law, you have the right to file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority with regard to data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which our company is based. The following link provides a list of data protection officers and their contact details: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have the data we process based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to third parties. It is made available in a machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible person, this will only be done if technically feasible.

Right to information, correction, blocking, deletion

Withing the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, the origin of the data, their recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, the right to correct, block or delete this data at any time. You can contact us at any time using the contact options listed in the legal notice in case of any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser saves on your device. Cookies help us to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective, and safer.

Some cookies are “session cookies.” Such cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your browser session. However, other cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself. Such cookies help us to recognize you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser you can monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are automatically deleted when the program is closed. Deactivating cookies can restrict the functionality of our website.

The setting of cookies, which are necessary to carry out electronic communication processes or to provide certain functions you wish to use (e.g. shopping cart), is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies are set (e.g. for analytics purposes), these will be treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Google Analytics

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of the web analysis service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses “cookies.” These are small text files that your web browser saves on your device and enable website usage to be analyzed. Information generated by cookies about your use of our website is transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The server location is usually the USA.

Google Analytics cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. F GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize our website and, if necessary, advertising. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your device and that enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and is stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for the website operator and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you declare that you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.

IP anonymization

We use Google Analytics in conjunction with the IP anonymization function. It ensures that Google shortens your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. There may be exceptional cases in which Google transmits the full IP address to a server in the USA and shortens it there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

Browser plugin

The setting of cookies by your web browser can be prevented. However, this could limit some functions of our website. You can also prevent the collection of data regarding your website usage including your IP address and subsequent processing by Google. You can do this by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the link above. An opt-out cookie will be set which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to our website: Deactivate Google Analytics.

Details on how user data is handled by Google Analytics may be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Order processing

In order to fully comply with the statutory data protection requirements, we have concluded an order processing contract with Google.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

Our website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. It can be used to create reports that contain statements on the age, gender and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as from visitor data from third-party providers. It is not possible to assign the data to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time. You can do this via the ad settings in your Google account or by generally prohibiting the collection of your data by Google Analytics, as explained in the section “Objection to data collection”.

Facebook

You can visit our site without providing any personal information. Personal data is only collected if you voluntarily provide it to us when you visit our website. Our website also contains references (links) to the external social network Facebook (including the Instagram platform). This website is operated exclusively by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). The references are identified on our website by the Facebook or Instagram logo and / or the addition “Like”. If these references are followed by a click, the Facebook plug-ins or Instagram plug-ins are activated and your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook or Instagram servers. If you follow the links while visiting our website and are logged in to Facebook or Instagram via your personal user account, the information that you have visited our website will be forwarded to Facebook or Instagram. Facebook or Instagram can assign your visit to the website to your account. This information is transmitted to Facebook or Instagram and stored there. To prevent this, you must log out of your Facebook or Instagram account before clicking on the link. The functions assigned to the links from Facebook or Instagram, in particular the transmission of information and user data, are not activated when you visit our website, but only when you click on the relevant links. The purpose and scope of the data collection by Facebook or Instagram, the further processing and use of your data there, and your related rights and setting options to protect your privacy can be found under settings and privacy in your personal profile. If you have any questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data as well as information, correction, blocking or deletion of data, please contact our management using our contact form.
